Histovery, a leading developer of augmented reality (AR) experiences for global attractions, was asked to create an AR experience for The Long Barrack at The Alamo and reached out to SAM to provide custom music and sound. Given our Texas roots, we couldn’t have been more proud to take on the project.

“Surrounded!” enables Alamo visitors to time travel at the touch of a tablet, or HistoPad, which they carry throughout their Alamo tour. Holding the HistoPad up to hotspots provides historical 360-degree views of your exact location, including animations, informative descriptions, and interactive segments.

SAM developed hundreds of custom sound effects and music files to immerse visitors in the experience, all meticulously crafted for historical accuracy, including the use of AI to recreate dialog from the extinct Coahuilteco language. Visitors big and small have been dazzled by the experience which continues to draw a crowd for The Alamo’s latest exhibit.
