Mother’s Day Music
In honor of Mother’s Day we asked the Stephen Arnold Music staff to come up with a few songs about mothers. There’s a lot — even more when you consider songs with ‘mother’ in the lyric (like Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” or Lynyrd Skynyrd “Simple Man”).
Here’s a few we came up with. Got a few ideas too? Jot them below in the comment section.
Pink Floyd: “Mother” (brilliant version with Sinead O’Connor)
Rolling Stones: “Mother Little Helper”
Kate Bush: “Mother Stands For Comfort”
Three Dog Night: ”Mama Told Me Not To Come”
John Lennon: “Mother”
Queen: “Tie Your Mother Down”
Paul Simon: “Mother & Child Reunion”
The Beatles: “Your Mother Should Know”
