FInal Bow for ‘Austin City Limits’ Studio

Here’s something interesting we came across last week. NPR featured a great story about KLRU’s famed Studio 6A, home for 36 years to the PBS show ‘Austin City Limits.’ Seems as cool as the distinct 300 seat studio is, it’s being retired in favor of a new larger, state-of the-art venue in downtown Austin.

At Stephen Arnold Music we are acutely aware that some ‘rooms’ (live venues or recording studios) sound better than others. Studio 6A was definitely one of those. (We have a few good ones here at Stephen Arnold Music too).

Here’s a look at some great ‘Austin City Limits’ performances we found. If you have a favorite,  share it with us here or on our Facebook page.
